Maraluva Daari [Path of Return]

Filmed over two months of field observation across Bengaluru alongside director Jayasri Sridhar. The documentary examines spontaneous more-than-human habitats surviving within dense urban growth—domestic turkeys roosting on residential terraces, stray animals settling in construction debris, and vegetation reclaiming concrete overpasses and drainage channels.

Shot entirely with available natural light, utilizing tactile framing that stays intimate with urban surfaces. The visual treatment avoids detached surveillance, instead lingering on textures—lichen spreading on concrete, peeling weathered walls, and the subtle friction between municipal infrastructure and non-human life.
