Waiting in Hope

Created during the Media Appreciation course at NID under faculty guide Parthiv Shah. The film observes everyday people paused in quiet moments of waiting—outside shuttered shops, on street corners, and in barbershop chairs—surrounded by the constant motion of the city.

The project uses long exposures and motion blur to emphasize the passage of time. While vehicles and crowds dissolve into streaks of movement around them, the subjects remain stationary and sharp—creating a visual tension between the relentless speed of urban life and the private stillness of waiting.
